Diving into the "Real World"

It hasn't hit me yet that school is over. A week into my job, and it feels like a summer job that will soon end and I will be packing up and heading back to school. Case in point, 4th of July Sunday, I planned when I would leave to head back to school that evening only to realize I wasn't heading back to school but starting my job. I suppose when everyone heads back for recruitment and class I might realize undergrad is over, but I think the worst is going to be watching my beloved Bulldawgs play their first home game in TV and think hey I should be there watching them tee it up between the hedges NOT in front of a TV. :) But we will see!

I took my last final on the first and took my amazing advisor to a farewell lunch. She was such a great person and really helped me out in so many ways! She is a wonderful person and I will miss her so much.

Once I got home and was finally unpacked (who knew I had so much stuff!!!), all four of us headed to the Atlanta airport to pick up the cousins! I love when Ryan and John come to visit, but was sad that Celia and Scott could not make it. The weekend was amazing! We ate at yummy restaurants, went downtown to check out the Peachtree Expo, Ry and dad played golf, ran the Peachtree and saw fireworks. The Peachtree was good. I had a bad start so ended a LOT slower then I wanted...and hour and ten minutes. Ry and Amanda kicked my butt! Ry was an hour 3 and Amanda was a little over 57 min. JEALOUS!!! Hopefully I can kick butt next year! I have decided to stay motivated I will run a race a month. A 5k, 10k, or half marathon. Yes, a half marathon!!! Amanda has talked me into running the Thanksgiving Day half! I have been trying to lose these last 15 pounds and keep them off, and I think it is good to have new goals. So I am doing it! :)

Monday the 5th I started work. I was only there for about 4 hours because it was just orientation and watching the videos about safety and rules and such. I made it home just in time to take the boys to the airport. Then I had off Tuesday.

Wednesday-Saturday I worked 7:30-4. Not bad except I had to drive out to Canton for training. So I had to leave the house a little after 6:30 and had to get up at 5. Let me tell you, it SUCKS to get up at 5. I am a kind of person that needs 8 hours of sleep, but who goes to bed at 9?? So the 6.5 I was running on had me exhausted by Saturday. But other then no sleep, I have been loving my job. I will be a GSTL (Guest Service Team Leader) and will be in charge of the front of the store. So, cashiers, guest service, photo lab, cart attendants, cash office, and food avenue are all under me. I am a pro at the cash registers now and pretty good at guest services. I pretty much make sure that lines are not to long and help any guests that I can. So far it has been great and I have learned a lot. I can't wait to get to my store and start building a relationship with my team! Target has a wonderful culture! Everyone has great attitudes and is willing to pitch it. Just looking at people you can not tell by attire or name tags who is management and who isn't. I love that! I truly believe that all team members need to be able to help each other out and no one is too good to hop on a register and help out so guests can leave satisfied. Yes, I have drunk the koolaid! ;) But I am so happy, so I will just keep drinking. I finish my second week of training at the Roswell store this week and start at my store Sunday.

Finally got to see my boy last night. We have not had time to ourselves in almost 3 weeks!!! So it was wonderful to grab dinner and watch TV and relax together! Hopefully we can start seeing each other more and can get our own place in a few months. Gotta work out a budget and save a little bit first.

Today I have slept and run errands. I also started my half training....a 35 min run. Not bad at all! This week is looking pretty good on that front: Mon-35min, Tues-rest, Wed-40min, Thurs-Cross train Fri-45min, Sat-rest. Easy week, but looking ahead, its gonna suck so I will enjoy it while I can!

Thanks for reading and enjoy some pictures:

Cousins at Bucca carb loading before the race. We had to take a pic with this sign cause it had "That's What She Said" written all over it. If you know us, you know this is a commonly heard phrase! ;):

A Glorious End to June

I have had such an eventful end to June! It has been a little sad, a lot happy, and very busy.

The weeks have been the usual, school, work, homework. Not much time for fun. I can definitely say that is one perk I am looking forward to after tomorrow....free time in which I do not have to study and can do something fun...like read some books!

Father's Day weekend my parents went to Travis's Dad's and step mom's house for a cookout. We had such a great time and our parents get along so well! Then Amanda and I went and saw Sex and the City 2. Love getting some sissy time! :) Sunday, Daddy golfed and Amanda worked. So that left mom and I all alone. We took two naps and went shopping in between. A perfect Sunday if you ask me!

Last Thursday was my last day babysitting for the Martin's. The kids were wonderful and made me even sadder to leave. I think they should have pitched fits or been difficult and had me running for the door! ;) But of course not! Theo curled up on my chest and snuggled and took a nap. And the kids played in the blow up pool all afternoon. They just melted my heart and you can tell they love their new brother so much! When I left I got lots of hugs and had to not cry....I just feel like they are a ****little**** bit mine. You know when you spend so much time with them and watch them grow and learn new things. I am also so happy that I got to see sweet Theo join their family! Such a beautiful family that has been a great role model! So much love and happiness there.

Later that night Travis came to Athens and we went out with Megan and some of the boys. It was so nice to hang out with them all. I love my roomies so much and truly hope we all end up close together so we can still hang out all the time.

The weekend was so busy, but so fun! Saturday morning I headed to Piedmont Park to do the Atlanta Pride 5k with my friend Jeffrey. We had a great time....but did not pace ourselves at all! We did the first mile in 7:35 and ended up slowing down a lot. So gotta keep that in mind for the Peachtree.

Then I headed to Travis' so we could take his niece, Kinsley, and nephew, Ethan, to see Toy Story 3. I have been dying to see it since the second I saw the first preview...yes I know I am like a 5 year old! We decided to grab the kids to go with us for a fun outing. They were WONDERFUL!! I was a little worried at first, but they were so perfect and have got me totally and utterly wrapped around their fingers! I just love being Aunt Kat and getting to take them to do something fun. Ethan was too small for his chair but seemed to like it and Kinsley was good until about the last 30 min. I could tell she was getting restless. She sat in my lap and was great though!

That night Trav and I had a nice quiet date night. I was so tired and loved that he cooked me dinner and we just watched some Californication. (Such a great show by the way...sooo raunchy, but funny too.)

Sunday was another busy day. I got up early and went to church with Jill and Ethan and Aiden. They boys were so cute and seemed excited to play with their church friends. Being a Presbyterian, Jill's church is very different! The music is more modern and they have a band and it is bigger and much more casual. But I don't feel too uncomfortable and have really enjoyed the sermon both times. I would love to go to St. Luke's, but if I am all the way out in Dallas, I would rather try something new then not go at all.

Then we went to Chuck-E-Cheese for Ethan's birthday party. He just turned 4. SO crazy! When Travis and I first started dating, he was an only child, had just turned 1, and was learning to walk!!! Time flies! Trav and I played lots of games and had a great time! I was so sleepy by the end that I went home and napped for a couple hours.

Later that night Amanda and I went to the Rascal Flatts concert. It was their tenth anniversary tour and was AWESOME!!! Too bad all the people around us were crazy. The people to the left were too busy making sure no on walked on their blanket to watch the show. I mean come on, you are on the lawn...if you are picky about your seats, but some actual seats and go sit there. Such funsuckers! Then the people to the right had a girl who was so drunk she was puking everywhere and then was lying on the ground passed out...way to hold your liquor! BUT other than that, AWESOME show! I love them and I love that Amanda and I do it every year. It is so nice to have a sister thing to do together. It is so nice to spend a whole evening with my best friend!

And now the end of the week and the end of college is approaching. It has still not sunk in that I am done. ONE MORE TEST TOMORROW and it is over!!! I am guessing it will take a few weeks to sink in completely though. Moving out tomorrow and heading home for a few months. Hopefully Trav and I can find a place that we can afford in the next 3-4 months! Can't wait for that adventure! :)

Let's see a couple reviews:
Just finished Julie and Julia and had the same problem with it that I did with the movie...I think Julie whines too much. I mean you are just cooking! I felt that it was just her complaining about everything. It was cute and I am glad I read it, but that part did bother me a bit!
Movie wise, Sex and the City was cute. I think you have to have watched the show to have some background. But if you liked the show, I think you would like the movie!
Also, Toy Story 3....AMAZING!!! Pixar did such a great job making each of those movies amazing. I just LOVED it and did cry a bit! :) But what movie DON'T I cry at!

I have some pictures, but am not on a computer with them, so I will add a post later with some pictures.

Thanks for reading!!

Happiness

I am so happy and satisfied with my life. With only two weeks left of classes people keep acting like I should be sad, nervous and nostalgic. And I always nod and play along...but in all honesty, I am excited and happy and SO looking forward to what is to come. Of course I will miss certain things. I will miss not having the responsibilities of bills and such. I will miss seeing so many wonderful friends all the time. But I can't wait to be home and near so many other people I love. I can't wait to start looking for a wonderful (pro tiny and not too nice) apartment for Travis and I. I can't wait to wake up with him next to me every morning. I can't wait to finally have someone to cook for so I can learn. I can't wait to get into big fights and lovely make ups. I can't wait to learn to live with the person I love the most. I also can't wait to start my job. I can't wait to use new skills and learn how to manage people. I can't wait to go to work and come home with no homework. I can't wait to get involved in new clubs and adventures. I am so truly excited and happy for what is to come. So, maybe it is ok to not be sad, and to look forward to the future and moving on.

I have also determined my weight downfalls. I had such a good week. Ate well and ran five miles 3 days and each day I was losing a couple pounds. Then my sister came and we stayed up late and had a wonderful time. But I was so exhausted today because I didn't get much sleep. So I took a long nap and when I woke up I just felt like I couldn't make it to the gym. So instead of eating well and just chillin I ate everything I could find in the apartment. I just feel like I have no self control when I am so tired...so it is either all or nothing. So annoying since it sets me back so much.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Can't wait to celebrate Father's Day with the most amazing man in the world. The guy that will forever have the most special place in my heart, who I have always looked up to, who has never judged me, and who has always believed I could do more than I ever thought I could. Thanks daddy for helping to build me into the person I am today! Hopefully, I am making you proud! :)

A Beautiful Start to June

I love how spring can just uplift you spirits so much. I love having so many hours of sunlight to enjoy. I love wearing short sleeves and shorts. I love how so many people are outside and everyone looks a little bit happier. I love that it is warm (getting to be hot). I feel so at peace. Maybe there is also the fact that things are starting to fall in place.

Debbie and Megan came up last weekend and Megan's mom was here to start the move out. We had a big kitchen clean out and actually had so much fun. You know you have some amazing friends when cleaning a dirty kitchen is fun. The biggest thing I will miss about Athens is seeing them everyday..having a bad day and walking in to one of their smiles. They are always so positive and happy and it rubs off. I am so thankful to have gotten to have these girls in my life. They have taught me to be a more positive person and not as judgemental of others. They are such amazing girls and I hope we can stay close no matter where we are. I really hope they end up in Atlanta though. That would make every thing much easier.

I guess I can disclose my news. I haven't wanted to write about it in detail in case another offer can through or things didn't work out. I have accepted a job with Target. I will start out as a store team leader (manager) and it is looking like moving up happens quickly. All the managers are young (under 30) females and have not been working there long. This gives me a lot of hope that I will be able to move up more quickly. I will work four days a week, I will get the same weekday off every week (don't know what it is yet), and then work every other weekend. So some weeks will be 4 days and others 6. I loved meeting the people I will be working with and am so excited to get started. I am ready to move on from classes and start a career. This is going to be a great company to start it with!

In other news, I have decided to be co-chair of Dinner Club for the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Gamma. I think I want to really get involved in things like this while I can. Another woman and I will find a restaurant in Atlanta each month that the women can go to if they want. Sooo...if anyone has suggestions let me know! :) I am also planning on joining their book club. I was going to try and start one, but joining an already made one seems much easier!

Other than that, school and work. I am only working M-W which is nice because I have all say Thursday to play with friends.

All in all the start of summer has gotten off to a great start!

The Beginning of the End

Maymester is finally over!!! Yay!I ended up with an A and a B+. Not too bad, kind of wish I could have gotten to As, but it was hard to give each class the time it deserved.

Memorial Day Weekend was so much fun. My parents, sister, her friend Becca, Travis, and I went to Amelia Island for a beach trip. It was in celebration of my graduation. Travis and I left Athens around 5:30 on Thursday evening. It was a long drive because it was so late at night, but we had almost no traffic since we took state highways to get to I-16. We laid out by the ocean everyday and I got to get some reading done and not worry about school. Travis and dad went golfing Saturday and Sunday and mom and I went for some morning walks. Mom cooked two nights, but Saturday we went out to dinner with my grandparents. They live in Jacksonville so it was a relatively short drive for them to meet us. It was so good to see them and be able to see how good they look. With all of their recent health issues, it is nice to see that they are hangin in there. The one problem to our trip is that poor Travis got a rash that looked like poison ivy, but it just continued to spread. He finally went to the doctor and did some research online. Seems like he had an allergic reaction to something. Mango can have a similar reaction to poison ivy and that was really the only new thing Travis had eaten in the past week. But he got some medicine and is doing much better.

The week has been good so far. I got home yesterday for a two day break. Today I went into Target to accept their job offer, fill out paper work, get a drug test, and meet everyone. Seems like a great culture and lots of good people. I am so excited to get started there! I will start orientation the week of July 5th, yay! :)

Also got a haircut today, finally. So nice to have a fresh cut.

Some reviews:
I finished Devil in the White City by Erik Larson. It was soooo slow in the beginning, but ended up being a very interesting book. Not my favorite, but glad I finished it. We also watched Braveheart this weekend..I know, I know you can't believe I have never seen it...but I loooooved it! Such a great movie! If you haven't seen it you must!

So Much To Do!

I feel like Maymester is flying by, but at the same time feel like two months have passed by! Going to class from 9:30-5 is no joke. By the end of the day I have no energy and tons to get done. So I usually get back home, write papers and study for tests for going out for a good long run.

My running is getting better. I did 4.5 miles today in 44 minutes. I know this is pretty slow, but I am not the fastest in the world. I want to be able to run the Peachtree in under an hour, but I think I got started to late in my training. We will just have to wait and see. I will increase my distance a little more every week.

This past weekend was great. Got to spend the whole weekend with my baby and we did nothing. It was so relaxing and also some quality time together. We have been running around so much in the past few months going to events that it was nice to have nothing on our plate. Especially since the next few months are going to be busy again. We did go to Momma Jill's and hung out at her new pool. It is so nice to have somewhere to get a tan and cool off this summer. Plus then I can get some time with my other family. We got to see Emily, Ben, and the boys too. I just love getting to hang out with them. The boys always make me smile and I got to snuggle Gavin a bit. He is getting so big!

Also some suggestions: Invictus is AWESOME and I think anyone who has not seen it needs to! It did a great job showing South Africa's struggle with discrimination between the races and how Nelson Mandela helped to bridge the gap. Just a very inspiring story! Also, Travis and I have gotten into True Blood. It is not the most stellar show...bad acting and accents, but has still managed to suck us in. They are so good with the cliff hangers.

Now just getting ready to finish up these two classes (done next Tuesday). Also get a nice beach trip this weekend to Amelia Island with my parents, Amanda and her friend Becca, and Trav and I. Should be a good weekend with some relaxation and good company. Hoping to get some books read and I can let you know what I thought of them! :)

Maymester Begins

The past two weeks have been so busy! I have hardly had time to think!

Last week my finals went well. I ended with 3 A's, 1 B+, and 1 B-. Not too bad. Probably could have worked a little harder to more that B+ to an A...but all in all grades where higher then I first thought, so I guess I can't complain!

This past weekend was so much fun. Graduation potluck was great and I had several good friends show up with their families. We had good food and good company and it was great. The we headed to the football stadium for UGA graduation. I found my roommate and we were able to sit together and hang out so that was nice. Alton Brown was are speaker and he surprised us all with his awesome speech. He had great advice and was so down to earth. After that I headed back to Dunwoody to celebrate Mother's Day with my favorite woman in the whole world! After all we have been through...the fighting, the yelling, and all in all the awful high school years, I am so so thankful we have made it to where we are. I love her with my whole heart and she is my best friend. I love hearing her advice and listening to her opinions. Basically I know I couldn't have made it this far without her and I am thankful everyday that I was blessed with such a wonderful momma! That being said we went to church in the morning. I have to say I love the new minister, Jason. He is great and I think he ha great potential to fill Dr. Price's shoes. And as always, Shannon and Phil are great ministers and have helped see our church through a lot. After church we went to See Iron Man 2. It was AWESOME!!! Such a great cast. I think Robert Downy Jr. is so awesome and is great in almost every role he plays. Always brings a bit of humor. If you haven't seen it, I suggest it. Then we had a yummy dinner at Seasons 52. Such a cool restaurant!

Monday was my last day before classes so I spent the day with Travis, and what did we do??? Saw Iron Man 2! :) Yes I went two day in a row and loved it the second time too. Later we had dinner with Momma Jill since I didn't get to see her for Mother's Day. Then it was back to Athens.

This week has been so busy. I am taking two Maymester classes. One class basically equals one week in a regular semester so we are there for 2 hours and 45 min a day...for ONE class. So I am there from 9:30-12:15 and then back from 2-4:45. It makes for a very long day! My first class is Employment Law with Dr. B-A. I really love it! She is so interesting and makes the information interesting. I also know a lot of people in the class so that makes it fun too. No tests, but lots of papers on articles we have read ad because it is such a short time period I have one due almost everyday. Then my other class is I-O Psychology. The professor is this older man and he is so sweet, but I have to admit the class is a little boring and you can tell that the other students are bored. I feel that they are a little rude being on facebook and their phones the whole time...why even come? I try to make eye contact with him and participate when he asks questions. Hopefully it makes him feel better that someone is listening and less nervous to be in front of a class. I think people never realize how hard it can be to be a professor sometimes. It is hard to present in front of a huge class!

This week I have had some fun on my 2 hour break. Wednesday I went to Marti's at Midday with an old high school friend. I have never been to this place so it was fun to try something new. Everyone always raves about it, but I have still never tried it. Man I have been missing out! Such yummy chicken salad sandwiches and pita chips. It is so girly and cute and really good! Will definitely have to go again! Then Thursday I was able to run over to the Martins' and snuggle little Theo! He is soooo cute! I just love him and he is only a week old, so still the perfect little bundle to snuggle. I also got to see Bella and chat with Mrs Martin! I just love them so much and realize how much I am going to miss them. Feel like those kids are kinda my babies too!! :)

I had a tiny melt down today...I was leaving the apartment for the weekend to head to class and then straight to Atlanta. Debbie and Megan (two of my roomies) have been here this past week and I thought they would be around all summer, or until they found a job. But I guessed wrong..they are leaving this weekend. I started crying. It is like everything hit me like a brick wall. College is over and I am going to be split up from so many of my good friends. I have some really great friends and I am so sad that I will not be able to see them everyday. I am so excited to move to Atlanta and get a place with Travis. I can't wait to walk in and see him at the end of the day. But I am so going to miss walking into an apartment full of friends! But I hope they will stay in Atlanta and we can still hang out a lot! A least Steph is here with me till the end of the month...that will be another break down I am sure! That girl has gotten me through a lot of rough times! Man am I gonna miss them!

Tonight I am babysitting for my three little cousins, Justice, Joseph, and Jacob. They are getting so big and are so sweet! I remember when Justice was born, Time sure flies. Hopefully I can sleep tonight. I hate being somewhere by myself. Travis is never allowed to go out of town...or I will be crashing at one of the momma's houses!! :)

Finals Week

My last week of finals has begun! It has been pretty busy. I had my Sales Marketing final on Monday. It was just a third test, not cumulative, so it wasn't too bad. The worst part of it was having to be on campus and walk through a monsoon to get there! I was drenched by the time I got there even though I had an umbrella and everything.

I then spent Monday night and the wee hours of Tuesday morning studying for my real estate final. Because it is in my major I need a C to pass and get my Real Estate degree. I currently have a C after bombing the 2nd test. So a lot was riding on my final which was 30% of my grade. But after it was over I feel like I was very prepared!

Napped this afternoon and talked to the company that has extended my a formal job offer. Pretty excited. Still talking to a few other companies, so just waiting to see what happens.

Had dinner with an old high school friend. Went to RuSans and had some awesome sushi! I love chatting about old times. I really feel like I have grown and become a very different person over the past four years. I feel like I have become a better person and someone I am proud to be.

Now time to catch up on sleep and get ready for my last final Thursday. Also please keep Nashville in your thoughts and prayers! My good friend's family lives there and while her family is fine, a lot of her friends and neighbors are having trouble!

Terry Graduation Weekend

This weekend was so much fun! I love being able to see my family and Travis all at once. I had Terry College of Business Graduation this weekend. It was the usual graduation ceremony but because it is smaller than the University graduation they called all of our names and we were able to walk across the stage to get our diploma.

It was so weird walking out into the coliseum and seeing all those people. I searched for mom, dad, Amanda, and Trav but had no luck finding them. I also was put in with the Marketing majors. I am a double major, but was only allowed to walk with one major. I wish I could have walked with Real Estate. I love my advisor Kathy and truly believe she is the reason I have survived college! She is my mom around Athens! :) Plus I babysit for Dr. Martin's family (he would have called me name), and would have gotten to shake Dr. Munneke's hand (my current professor). Oh well, it was still fun getting to walk across the stage. I also found the family while waiting in line to walk across. Amanda and Trav were waaving like crazy to get my attention! :) I just love them. Turns out Amanda provided lots of entertainment for Travis...good thing cause I am sure it was boring sitting up there for three hours. And good thing they get to do it again next week!

Then we went to Speakeasy for dinner! I love that place. It is tapas style food and we always order alomst half the menu cause it is all so yummy. Plus they have delicious martinis. Always get to try something new!

Today has been ok...I really hate Sundays. I always have such a great weekend with everyone and Sunday is always like a back to reality type thing. I hate leaving Travis and knowing I have to wait a week to see him again. I really can't wait to see him all the time! But I have gotten a lot of studying done. I am really nervous about my real estate test on Tuesday and have made sure to get a head start on studying. I have a sales marketing final tomorrow. But it is just a third test, not cumulative so it shouldn't be too bad. Gonna give it the rest of the night. Pretty much ready for Tuesday to be over!

Also got back to running. I haven't tracked it yet, but I think it was a little less than 3 miles in 30:07. AWFUL!!!! So slow. Need to stop eating so much and start running daily. I am determined to meet my goal of running the Peachtree in under an hour! So tomorrow it is back to reality and back to being healthy!

Crazy Nights

The past few nights have been so crazy. I felt like it was freshman year all over again. I am so happy I got to spend some quality time with some good friends. I can't believe that in a week we will be separated and spread all over the country.

Wednesday night was the start to it all. With no class or work on Thursday I figured I should have some fun. First we had dinner at the sorority house with our house mom and then went to Pump It Up. I got to hang out with some people I hadn't hung out with in ages. Then a few of us went downtown after. It was a crazy fun night. Lots of bar hoping, drinks, and chatting. Love those girls so much.

Thursday I slept a lot recovering and finished up a group project. I am down to three final before the end of the semester. Then Thursday night started...one dollar beers are not a good idea. Athens always has some sort of deal going on...seems the point is to get everyone drunk, and it works! ;) Another great night with some wonderful girls. But it really knocked me on my butt! I am done with downtown for a little while I am getting too old for this.

Today was good slept in and then babysat. They are expectin their 3rd any day now. Bella, their 2nd, is having trouble coming to terms with the new baby. She is usually in the spotlight, and knows that once the baby comes she won't. Poor thing is just beside herself. Hopefully once #3 arrives she will adjust and be just fine. They are just adorable and I will miss them. Can't believe how much they kids have grown over the past year and a half.

Trav got here this evening. We had dinner and finished season one of Nurse Jackie. I love that he is here. It makes me feel like the world is right when we are together...like things are balanced and everything is going to be ok. I just love him.

Now I am off to bed to get ready for graduation tomorrow. Also, wishing my daddy a happy birthday! I love that man and am so lucky to have such a great man for a father.

Gavin (Trav's nephew) is doing so well! Growing big and doesn't need anymore oxygen! This sweet baby has come so far and been through so much. I am so happy to keep hearing good news! He and his brothers are the sweetest things around and totally have me wrapped around their fingers! All they have to say is "Aunt Kat..." and they will get whatever they want! :) What can I say...I am a total sucker!

Starting Out

Well I decided to try out the whole blogging thing. At first I wasn't sure if my life was interesting enough, but then decided I didn't care. It isn't like I am forcing anyone to read this! :) Plus I feel like I am hitting a huge milestone in my life and a lot is about to change. So why not write about it.

This past week has been so bittersweet. A lot of "lasts." Last chapter, last spring semester class, last reading day, etc. Chapter on Monday made me realize what a wonderful group of friends I have made in my sorority. There are so many great girls who really care about each other and are there for each other. It was so strange seeing the alum (a year older than us) during the ceremony giving us our alum badges. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were freshman and they were sophomores or juniors. I can't believe time has flown by so quickly and how much we have all changed in four short years. I guess everyone just finally grew up and became "big kids." Happy and sad all at once! But I must say I am so happy and grateful I have gotten to know them.

Last night I went to a dinner party with four old high school friends. At first I wasn't sure if I should go. They have done a great job staying in touch and I am so awful at keeping in touch that I thought I would be the out one out. But I am so happy I went. We spent four hours chatting and catching up. The main question at the end of the night, "How the heck did we survive high school??" But I guess we did. It was another night of...wow when did we get so old? I loved going back to high school and telling all teh old stories. We did some dumb stuff but looking back some are just so funny! I really need to work on keeping in touch with them. There are so many forms of communication these days that it shouldn't be as hard as I make it.

I am also really looking forward to graduation. I am ready to start a career and move on. More I think I am ready to be back in home range of Trav and my momma and daddy. I love spending time with them and am so happy and relaxed when I am home. Guess that should be a sign I am ready. Three more classes this summer before I can head back. July 1st is the goal...the finish line. It seems so far away, but I guess I have been waiting for this day for almost three years, so what is two more months. I can't wait to see my boy whenever I want!

Well I guess that is about all for now. Off to a senior dinner for DG and then going out in downtown Athens to pretend I am a freshman again! Pretty excited!
