Wow! It has been FOREVER since I have been on here! Live has certainly gotten nuts. But some many awesome things have happened.
Work has been good. Have hit my groove and my boss now has me trying out different areas in the store. I have thrown a truck and worked with the pricing team. It has been nice getting to understand different positions in the store on a more detailed level.
I lived at mom and dad's for 7 months. It was really great! I loved being able to hang out with them everyday. But after saving up some money and getting to a good financial situation, Travis and I finally got ourselves a little one bedroom condo. It us prefect for us and has taken out so much travel and stress. So we are really enjoying that.
I have also gotten really involved in the Atlanta Delta Gamma Alumnae Group. Between board meetings, book club, dinner club, and out sips n strokes outings I have made some good friends and had some great times.
SO, between all of this I have "run" a half marathon and am training for another. But I have also been so stressed out, tired, and busy that my eating and exercise have been put on the back burner. Therefore, in the past 7 months, I have put on 30 unwanted (and previously lost) pounds. I keep trying different diets and just cannot seem to stick to them.
After weight training with my friend Paige for a few months and watching her family's success with fitness I have decided to blog my way to my precious weight. I mean what is better than some public accountability? So every Monday I will post some progress pictures and post my weight. But why wait till Monday? So I will start with all my info today!
Weight: 170.6lbs.
Exercise:
-Elliptical: 3 Minute Warm-up, 40 Minute Program-Random, 4 Minute Cool-down
-20 Minute Denise Austin Ab Video
Food:
-Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage and Egg White Croissant- 260 Calories
-Crackers- 120 Calories
-Peanut Butter- 380 Calories
-Carrots- 5 Calories
-Veggie Dip- 60 Calories
-Mushroom Ravioli- 280 Calories
-Tomato Sauce- 60 Calories
- 1 Thin Mint- 40 Calories
-Total: 1205
With a goal of 1200 Calories for the day, not too bad.
From Paige: "Change I HAVE to workout to I GET to workout!" So true! Must be thankful for all my body can do!
So here is the start of a hopefully successful road to fitness! :)
You can stop after one thin mint?? Lol, that is the definition of will power. Put me in a room with a samoa and I'm a goner.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a GREAT day to me. :)
I wasn't even going to get them. But we went to my parents to get the mail for them and they were on the counter with a note for us to PLEASE take them. I wasn't going to eat any, but Trav handed me one after dinner. So I didn't even have to look at the box. Helpful! Also, 1200 is a good goal?
ReplyDeleteKatherine! You are AWESOME! we can be blog twins! I'm so excited for you and I know you're going to do great at this! I know sometimes you probably want to punch paige when she's training you...i know i did, but she knows what shes doing so listen to her!! remember, pain is just weakness leaving the body so be strong and push through it! you have a ton of people rooting for you. and no matter what the scale says, as long as you are healthy and trying you will be happy which is the most important thing! :)
ReplyDeletebtw, you did awesome on your eating today but there are lot of options for salad dressings such as fat free ranch which are about half the calories and just as good!
ReplyDelete1200 is a good starting goal as long as you promise to never EVER go under it AND if you start feeling too weak to get through the days (and the workouts) you might have to increase a little
ReplyDeleteOne day at a time!
Brenna you were my inspiration. After my workout I also got all caught up on Biggest Loser. Did you watch last week??? I cried! So good! :) One day at a time for sure!
ReplyDeleteEvery episode is an amazing episode. I'm always shocked!! But you definitely got this. Pretty soon, you're going to love working out and want to get a work out in every day.
